Jim Spira, Advisory Director

Currently serving as chairman of Brulant, Inc. (a top-25 interactive agency and technology consulting firm), Jim Spira is widely regarded as an expert in developing and implementing winning competitive strategies for major companies worldwide.

Jim Spira was named president and chief operating officer of American Greetings in June 2000 while serving on its Board of Directors. Jim’s role at American Greetings leveraged his career-long focus on profit improvement. He designed and led a corporate restructuring program that generated annual savings in excess of $300 million.

From 1995 to 2000, Jim served Diamond Technology and Management Consulting, Inc. as a senior vice president and managing partner, acting as a knowledge leader in strategy, operations and logistics. Jim has more than 40 years of consulting experience.

Jim co-founded Cleveland Consulting Associates in 1974, which was acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation in 1989, after spending several years with Ernst & Young and A. T. Kearney. Under his leadership as president and chief executive officer, the firm became the premier consultancy in supply chain management, serving Fortune 500 manufacturers as well as major distributors and retailers.

Jim serves on a number of corporate boards and is committed to volunteerism and community service. Jim and his wife of 41 years, Myrna, are natives of Cleveland and have two grown children and seven grandchildren.

Jim holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Hobart College.
