Guy Bouchet, Business Development

A senior international executive Mr. Guy Bouchet has lived and worked extensively in the US, Europe, and China. His consulting and advisory services experience spans multiple sectors, including process and industrial manufacturing, automotive, consumer products, retail and distribution. His functional areas of expertise include global procurement and supply chain, market entry and growth strategy as well as marketing and sales operations improvement.

Currently, Guy is the President and CEO of Bouchet & Company, an international consultancy specializing on China and Asian emerging markets. He, also, is Adjunct Associate Professor at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University, where he teaches an international business course on China.

Prior to this, Guy was successively a Vice President of A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm, and a Senior Partner with Colehower & Company, an international Executive Search firm, where he was in charge of global marketing and business development. During his 12-year tenure with A.T. Kearney, he was a core member of the firm’s Global Operations practice and spent five years in China where he held the positions of Managing Director of A.T. Kearney Greater China and General Manager of A.T. Kearney Shanghai, Ltd.

Guy’s more than 20 years of work experience started as Export Sales Manager for Southern Europe and the UK at SOVIS, a specialty glass manufacturing subsidiary of Companie de Saint Gobain, a major French multinational company. Later on, he was appointed Managing Director of Euroglass, a glass manufacturing unit of Saint Gobain in Northern Italy.

Guy serves on the boards of the China Chapter of the City of Chicago’s Sister City Program, the Chicago-China Economic Development Center, and S.O.U.L. Creations, a vocational children’s education agency.

Guy holds a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Poitiers, France, studied international economics and finance at the Institut des Sciences Politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po), and obtained an MBA degree from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is fluent in French (native), English, Italian, and has a working knowledge of German and Mandarin Chinese.
