Alaris designs and implements profitable supply chains.
Designing, building, and managing an efficient supply chain is a challenge. Global sources of supply, demanding customers, rising fuel costs, limited transportation capacity, and complex import/export regulations affect customer service and total delivered cost.
Alaris designs and implements global supply chains that meet our clients’ specific needs while also serving as platforms for future growth and providing mechanisms to minimize supply and delivery risks.
Our Logistics services include:
- Distribution Network Modeling and Optimization
- Inventory Planning, Management and Reduction
- Customer Service, Delivery and Support
- Transportation Management
- Performance Measurement and Reporting
On each of our logistics projects, we field a team of professionals who brings real-world insights and years of experience to the increasingly challenging and complex global marketplace in which our clients operate.
Alaris uses our 5D methodology to develop client-focused project approaches and tools from initial assessment to implementation and on-going operation. Alaris provides knowledge transfer at each step in the project with the appropriate training, following our hands-on “Learn–Practice–Do” approach

Future US distribution network with consolidated distribution centers to reduce total cost
Future China supply network with shipment consolidation centers to reduce total cost
- Asian logistics strategy and planning – Alaris designs and implements Asian logistics strategies and plans from inbound transportation to customs considerations, freight forwarding, and the use of 3PL providers. Our team in Shanghai provides on-the-ground assistance.
- Plant alignment and rationalization – Mergers, acquisitions, and changes in business strategy drive opportunities to improve service and reduce cost through improved use of plants and other operating facilities. Alaris evaluates various alternatives, including facility relocations, expansions and closings.
- Inbound logistics management – Alaris assists clients with achieving lower inbound logistics costs while maintaining or improving service.
- Fleet assessment/management – Companies today have many transportation alternatives ranging from private fleets to dedicated carriers, common carriers, and 3PL providers. Alaris works with clients to determine which mix best meets their specific needs.
- Inventory optimization and management – Alaris works with our clients to develop a cost-effective inventory management program that balances supply with demand while meeting the required customer service levels. Inventory plans typically include target inventory mix, inventory levels, lead times, and replenishment points.
